FORD KANSAS CITY ASSEMBLY PLANT ASSEMBLES THE ONE MILLIONTH TRANSIT IN NORTH AMERICA

Ford and the UAW workers at Kansas City Assembly Plant celebrate producing one million Transit® vans in North America since production began in 2014. Ford Transit is America's bestselling van,1 and Ford has been the commercial van leader for 42 years.2 Kansas City Assembly Plant will also produce Ford's first all-electric van, the E-Transit,® coming later this year. The one millionth Transit rolled off the line June 29. It is a HighRoof, Extended Wheelbase Cargo Van in Ingot Silver Metallic with rear-wheel drive. A Ford Dealer in California ordered it.

NEW COMPLIMENTARY FORD TELEMATICS ESSENTIALS GIVES FLEET MANAGERS ACCESS TO VEHICLE HEALTH DATA AND MAINTENANCE RECOMMENDATIONS

Ford recently released a complimentary web application, Ford Telematics Essentials, to help fleet managers maintain vehicle health and maximize uptime. Fleet managers immediately get an overview on which vehicles are up to date with their service requirements, need immediate service, and which will require maintenance soon. The vehicle health report provides vehicle insights such as odometer readings, oil life, engine hours and diagnostic trouble codes. An upgrade to Ford Telematics is just a click away from the dashboard, with a comparative chart that details additional features such as geofencing, fuel efficiency, driver behavior insights, and more. Upcoming features include Dealer Scheduling (Summer 2021), Remote Lock and Unlock (Fall 2021) and Software Updates Manager (Spring 2022).

MUSTANG MACH-E TAKES TOP SPOT IN CAR AND DRIVER'S INAUGURAL ELECTRIC VEHICLE OF THE YEAR AWARD 2021

The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E® earned Car and Driver's inaugural Electric Vehicle of the Year Award, adding another coveted honor to its trophy case and beating overall top-rated EV competitors along the way. The publication put 11 top-rated electric vehicles through rigorous testing over a three-week period, including a 1,000-mile road trip to evaluate each in real-world conditions.
